Spudguns were firing on all cylinders this week winning by more points than Jeremy Clarkson has on his driving licence.

In a night boisterous with chants of "Gamble" there was a disappointing conclusion to the Fun Round. No team was fun enough to win, so there is a Rollover! Expect at least a DVD next week in the glittery bag then...

The Beast was on top form, using his jokebook inherited from turkey king Bernard Matthews to ensure a £75 rollover next time.

Once more things were so close it came down to a tiebreaker and Chris from The Bottle Merchants wasn't feeling confident because he had never won a tiebreak before.

Chris wasn't the first man to come up against Spudguns (Oops Pardon!) but he might be the first to beat them to the beer as occasional champs The Spudz had to bow to Chris's superior knowledge of tax haven Monaco. How much his off-shore assets are worth is anyone's guess (Oops Pardon!)

The Alkies won the quiz. They were very happy.
They took the advice of a guy shouting at the bar and won £100.
This is less than they usually spend on booze of an afternoon, but they were still very happy.

A quieter night at Gallus than we are used to. Everyone's away on holiday and I can't wait to join them this weekend. Don't worry though, I'll be back for next week's quiz!

A quieter night than usual in Bar Gallus, I'm guessing a few regular teams would have been at home watching the beach volleyball at the Olympics. Alone. With the sound down.

As usual Bottle Merchants stormed into an early lead that was slowly eroded until surprise winners North and South emerged. They were absolutely shocked to have won. Here they are looking like surprised criminal masterminds!
