The September weekend was helped along at The Beefy with guest Quizzmaster Doctor G and a total prize of £130.17 up for grabs.
With a large Pirate presence it was a bit surprising that a splinter group broke away during the first round and named themselves The Bragar Babes. This surprise breakaway team took full advantage of their shocking departure by taking an early lead over the remaining 4 teams.
Battling their way through the picture and music round the all girl team of Nae Clue managed to get themselves into contention but the battle at the top remained between the Tart Eating Pirates and The Bragar Babes.
With the joke round upon us it was unsurprising that the Pirates were back on top joke form winning with a little ditty about the 3 'Rs' of sex.
On we forged towards the final round and some cagey answering resulted in the Pirates taking the glory but could not get to "meet the beast". That honour fell to Robert Nine Fingers of J & L & R after The Bragar Babes and Nae Clue all failed. However, the beast was not kind and no cash was won so over £130.17 to play for next week.
