Double Pirate photo-bomb to celebrate 2 Pints winning £300!

26/11/2012

Picture
A big well done to quiz regulars 2 Pints who after WEEKS of trying finally grabbed my £300 cash jackpot.
By way of celebration we were treated to a DOUBLE photo-bomb from Pirate Glen.
What a legend.

Steven Hawking's Football Boots won the quiz by a single point. As they had only written down ONE answer in the final round they were lucky to win at all...

Here they are with Milngavie's most prolific Sunday night photo-bomb expert making his second unscheduled appearance of the night!

The Macs got the applause by a long shot. Their first time at the quiz, they hope to claim a big cash prize themselves sometime, and more than 19 points...

Also joining us for the first time was The Wasted DJ's team.
They were so wasted they missed a few of the rounds, but still comfortably beat The Macs.
Awkward.

Next week then it's quizness as usual as the big money is gone and we are back to basics!

Another BIG Cash Sunday Next Week!

When the money gets big, the emotions get BIG too. And with £288.14 at stake it was a very BIG night in Milngavie.

Going into the final round it was The Pirates who had a slender 2pt advantage, but it wasn't going to be their night as both Steven Hawkings Football Boots and Spungos overtook them to make a tiebreak situation.

Here's how it finished...

Applause

Joke wise it was as horrific and offensive as usual. So offensive, that one of the entries was just an insult...

"You're so ugly, even Cilit wouldn't Bang you"

Needless to say that entry was not the winner!

Against the tyranny of The Beast, Del from The Pirates was going to guess C, but changed his mind to B in the face of The Beast. As a result it was The Beast who had the last laugh rolling the £288.14 over to next week.

It will be emotional once more...

Cash Jackpot reaches an amazing £265+

A bustling night in The Beef in Milngavie. Back from the dead were Team IAIN. I'm not saying that they haven't been to the quiz in a while... All I'm saying is that the last time we saw them Jimmy Savile was a national treasure & Mitt Romney was going to be US President.

A power struggle ensued between returning  former champs Team IAIN & the much booed Honeymonsters. Team IAIN only dropped a few points but this is how their power struggle ended...

The Kerrs Applause

The jokes round was full of disgracefully sick entries. Even by Milngavie standards it was a shocker. Thankfully amongst all that filth there was this good old fashioned sexist effort:

My wife gave in last night & fulfilled my wildest fantasy.
She left.

Phew.

The BIG news is the BIG cash jackpot next week as The Beast stopped the Honeyz taking his monies & getting a mega-boo.

Next week it's a £265+ special edition!

Woop and indeed woop

Sir Janes

Next Week it's The Beef's BIGGEST Cash Jackpot!

A proper Milngavie sized boo tonight for Stephen Hawkings Football Boots and Honeymonster Doug as they claimed another comfortable win.

Come the finale things were close, but the Pear Cider loving Hawking/Honeyz combo were never made to sweat too much. As you can see here below their underarms totally resemble a Right Guard advert.
Picture

Top banter tonight from 2 Pints and Freddie Starr Pirates. Best team name of the night though had to be Robert and the lads calling themselves Savile and The Boys. Wonderfully disturbing.

The best shout of "Horn" tonight came from BJ - but my horn aside the real excitement came from the money which is now just counted and as I thought is officially up to £238 - and so will surely SMASH through the £250 barrier next week...

So there's at least £238 reasons to come to The Beef and try to claim the biggest cash jackpot that we've had so far there.

And if you want to win the Jokes round you will have to do better than this...

Turns out Freddie Starr never ate a Hamster...
...it was a 14 year old beaver...
