Who the fuck is Jim?

29/5/2013

Picture
Thank God Jim's Not Here were the early leaders and maintained their lead to win with The Pirates only a gamble away from victory.

A few times I asked Sandy if his team was called team Loner, but it wasn't. His team was called Birthday Boy because it was his birthday. He obviously didn't get any birthday money though because there was no £1 from him - maybe it's his birthday every week?!

Here's how it finished...
Thank God Jim's Not Here
The DP Pirates
Bar Stewards

Team Birthday Boy!!!
The Village Inn
Martin's Bitches
Shetland Vikings

And now- the story of the night in pictures...

Sexiest team at the quiz - also team most likely to get asked for ID...
Picture
These guys were last at the quiz for St Patrick's Day and say they will be back for the August Bank Holiday. I wouldn't exactly call them regulars...

This chap did the quiz by himself, as his good lady gave him hee-haw help.

The Pirates were on typical Bank Holiday form - so pissed they didn't know what day of the week it was.
Next week it's a rollover - get down to the quiz for the big money and top banter!

Big congrats to tonight's winners 2 Pints of Honey. Here they are playing with their new prizes. They won with a final score of 68 points. That's a lot of points. The next place team was 27 points behind them. Ouch.

Here's the story of the night in pictures with added offensive captions!

On the crest of a magnificent wave of love and respect, the Original Honeymonster, Captain Stu, sailed into the West Highland Gate to take the Quiz helm in Sir James's absence. Rumours that our favourite sequined Quizmaster is hiding out in Ireland until Operation Yewtree blows over have been greatly exaggerated, apparently he's just over there stocking up on cheap glittery leprechaun based bedlinens! Sparkly! A packed house battled it out for the top prize of ten whole cans of cider...must be lean times for the beefy! Universally challenged  proved anything despite appearances, as they whipped each round into submission and took a choke-hold of the quiz in the early stages. The Pirates of the Echoie Minge manged perhaps the worst opening round that the beefy has ever seen, leaving them trailing even the Two Pints team, that consisted of just Sandy (Still, at least the collective IQ of the team was higher than most weeks!). Captain Stu's bonus speed round went down well as the pirates made up for their start by naming 10 Monsters, from Savile to Dracula, in the quickest time! They even managed to chuck HONEYMONSTER in there! Booo! The Jokes round was as filthy as ever and it was Burnbrae's Lyn is Going to Berlin, who were dirtiest of them all. I emptied my sack of cack all over them, and they loved it! Especially the biscuits! Special mention goes out to the Numpties sister team the Numpties too, who insisted on reading out their own joke, which was spectacularly shot down by Milngavie's Kim Jong Il, or Glen as he prefers. The final round was quickfire to get it up googlewhackers and it saw team Steven AKA The Honeymonsters snatch a surprise win! Tequilla Mockingbird, the only team not to have heard of Coolio's Gangster's Paradise received the dreaded wooded spoon, finishing in last place. The cards weren't kind to the Honeyz so it was left to the Pirates to face the BEAST! Rolf Harris's wingman, had a question about cameras that seemed fiendishly difficult. The Pirates refused to blink though and won the £130! Flash Bastards! Till next time...
