A big shock of the night was The Tonic not having an offensive team name - a further shock was their leading throughout the quiz only to GAMBLE in the final round and hand victory to the winos of Welsh Rarebit.
Welsh Rarebit were very pleased to win - less so with their prize. I thought a 50% discount on a meal for 4 was a decent prize - but as they had a team of 8 they were at a loss to understand what they had won. What a nightmare it must be to be so popular. I hate half price steak too - or 25% off I suppose if there's 8 of you.
Jedworth Swingers were surprisingly pleased with their round of applause - no doubt they are keen to climb up my losers leaderboard.
Den's Reckoning had a skeleton crew out. It was just poor Craig propping up the bar.
Next week I expect he will have reinforcements to claim the £100 rollover!
