£250 Rollover as "Last Place" finish in 1st Place!

22/2/2013

Picture
A packed night in Den. Could have been because of my top quality banter and beautifully sparkling sequins. Or the £225 cash jackpot...

The only team who weren't interested in the money was HB Fash. When they got their turn to challenge for the £225 they weren't interested. I can only assume they were waiting for next week's £250 big one!
Here's how it finished...
1= ...And in Last Place + Pallets  Winners
1= Steven  Fun Guys
Sex, Drugs & Sausage Rolls
The Guts
The Latecomers
HB Fash
Jammy Buggers
= Jules & Gill
= The Wee Malkies
The Disgraced Jurors
The 4 J's
 Applause

A tense tiebreak situation as old school Milngavie hard guys Steven (said in a high pitch voice) Aka Steven Hawking's Football Boots took on Den stalwarts The Widden Pallets.

In the end it was a precious victory for the Pallets whose mapping skills were far superior to their tiebreak rivals. If you want a bad map here is a map of Europe by Sex, Drugs and Goatsie Quitongo - no wonder they lost out in the final round!

Some quality art tonight...

A big thanks to The Wee Malkies who had an impressive card trick for me. Less impressed was The Guts team who got a pair with my giant cards. They were still arguing their case as I left, having placed The Pallets £250 rollover poster up for next week.

Yes, it's a £250 rollover - so come early if you want a seat!

Wee Malkies Fancy My £225 Rollover!

15/2/2013

Fighting Talk this week from the Wee Malkies
A lot of love in Den for a valentines theme quiz which very nearly turned into an Oscar Pistorious theme quiz since we had a beautiful young South African lady at the quiz who hadn't been shot by her boyfriend. How shocking.

Shooting to win was old school quizzers Clackerbags who took a bit of valentines inspiration this week to drop the Clackerbags name and instead become Ladyboys. You dirty old bastards!

The staff were so impressed with Ladyboys poster they filed it safely here in the bin. Bit harsh if you ask me! Luckily they will never find out...
Here's how it finished..
Ladyboys  Winners & Funsters
Valentines Day Massacre
The Wee Malkies
TOWI...
Too Shy
Bar Staff
= 4 J's
= Mark's Friends

As you can see quiz regulars The Wee Malkies are keen to win my £225 rollover.

And tonight's Oscar Pistorious jokes have been added to the jokes page by the way.

See you next week kittens!

Big love

Sir James

Whopper £200 Rollover Next Week in Den!

8/2/2013

Another bustling night in Den and another rollover too. It means next week there's a massive £200 rollover jackpot. Wowsers.

Big talking point of the night was the tussle for first place between Five Nations and The Wee Malkies. Then Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls won the bonus points and left some answers blank in the final round to secure what had looked like an unlikely victory. Just goes to show that Drugs must be good for you.
Here's how it finished...
Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls Winners
Five Nations
The Wombles
The Wee Malkies
Campbell is a Wanker
Widden Pallets
Bar Staff - Cheeseboard!
4 J's
Team No Name

In other news Gavin - formerly from The Kirkhouse Inn and Bungo is now at The Den and here he is with rival quiz hunk barman Pete.

Which do you prefer?
The death by chocolate eyes of Gavin?
Or the ginger ninja's quizzical eyebrows?

We'll have an X-factor style vote next week and the loser can find a new job!

Best joke this week in the Fun Round involved a prawn going to a disco and pulling a mussel.
So that's the target to beat for next week - assuming you don't get the £200 that is!

The Scheme use Barking Dogs as their Bitch!

1/2/2013

Picture
Tonight's Pub quiz in Den was a busy night and a sausage party too - woof! Fully in control it was Barking Dogs who had the quiz on a leash until bonus round bad boys The Scheme came up a notch from 2nd place and took the title. As you can see here, they do look like the stars of Tv show The Scheme. Sexy and they know it.

Biggest boo we've ever had in The Den was due to the revelation that winning team The Scheme had only written 3 answers on their final round slip. In order to compensate for their lack of GAMBLE the big man Alan gambled and swapped his sparkling wine for Steak. What a gamble! What a man! What a scheemie!

Poster Princesses Widden Pallets had a handsome Prince help them with poster duty this week...
Picture
And here's a close up of that beautiful poster...
If you want to see it for yourself it's on The Den Tony Hart memorial wall along with details of the latest drink promos (etc).

BIG news of the night was the £175 cash rollover to next week. Not even regular teams Clackerbags or Goatsie Quitongo could stop The Beast having his wicked way with the money.

So, next time it's a £175 rollover and all fire hazards and bitches are welcome.
