Not so Jammy Dodgers get the Applause

22/3/2013

A lot of interest in the Den quiz tonight as 15 teams battled it out for the £325 bounty.

Here's how it finished...
Wright Herberts Cash Champs & Winners
Not Another Bloody Meal Voucher
Wee Malky's
Two's Company
Mairi and The Boys
Sex, Drugs & Sausage Rolls
Big & Hairy Clackerbags
The Chancers
Poker Girls
18 With a Bullett
Wikipedia Appreciation Society
The Bareback Boys
The Freaky Geeks
Woop Woop
Jammy Dodgers
Applause

A big night in Den as my whopper £325 rollover rolled out the door with first time wonders Wright Herberts. As you can see from their comments below, they had a great time winning the £325 and will surely be rushing back to the quiz.

The Pallets tribute team made the poster for next week as usual. A slightly underwhelming £25 as it's back to basics in Den! So much for big money Thursday - it's now BIG BANTER Thursday!

Yer maw told me that last night.

Next Week - A Massive £325 Rollover in Den!

I had a £300 bounty so it was fitting given the big cash prize it was The Bankers who got to have a go for the money. Obviously with popularity for the banking profession at an all time high, quiz regulars were gutted when The Bankers won nothing and the cash rolled over and up to £325. Such a shame given all the good work they do for their community and good causes and all that...
In the end here's how the teams finished!
Nuns on The Run Winners
Bankers
Clackerbags
Judix
McKenna has done Yer Maw
Widden Pallets  Fun Team
Lynso
Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls
Duelling Banjos
The Wee Malkies  Applause

Top design work from The Widden Pallets here again. When they're not chewing the tops off the felt tips and licking the windows clean, they love a good colouring in session.

A big shock in the Fun Round as there was NO WINNER. As a result Widden Pallet Alex said she would "give me a good one next week" and inadvertently caused much sniggering thereby winning the Fun Round with a bit of accidental off the cuff Carry-on Style impromptu double entendre. Hello Matron!

Another surprise the night was the round of applause going to a last place team who are normally fighting for the top spot. Luckily they had so much fun they weren't bothered too much about their last place finish. Phew!

A big thanks to Barman Pete for his hard work - especially since his coursework is due in tomorrow and all he has to hand in is a Tennents soaked beermat. Ah well, at least he has his bar career to fall back on!

Next week then it's an ASTOUNDING £325 rollover. That's better than you'll normally find.

Wee Malkies Win Meal for 2 as Cash Rolls up to £300!

Another bustling night in Den.
Surely nothing to do with the whopper £275 big money Thursday jackpot?

Here's how it finished...
The Wee Malkies  Winners
Team A
WGS
Pink Ladies?
Clackerbags
Goatsie Quitongo
Team Guidi
Widden Pallets
Iain & Robbie
Jammy Dodgers  Applause & Funsters

The cards screwed everyone over. It didn't quite get to the point where folk were shouting "fix", but I will be doing a double shuffle next week.

It wasn't just the cards playing up, The Beast was playing up too.
He kept the £275 and is adding another £25 next week, so it's the biggest ever Den cash bounty, a whopper £300 rollover.

Come early if you want a table!

More Big Money - a £275 rollover!

Despite the keen interest of some hardcore quiz lovers it was returning duo And I feel wine who gambled and claimed the winner's food deal. Go get em tiger!

Biggest news of the night though was the £250 rollover turning into a £275 rollover.
Yes, it's another big money Thursday in The Den!
Here's how it finished...
And I feel Wine  Winners
Manse Road Massive
Higher, Lower or "The Same"
Harry Styles Bruised Left Nut
 Funnest Team
Sex, Drugs + Sausage Rolls
The Wee Malkies
Bouncy Balls
The 4 J's
Jan & Jono
Jammy Buggers
Round of Applause

Here's a close up of Harry Styles Bruised Left Nut's terrific poster. It's almost like a trip to Edinburgh Zoo on acid here.

Their joke was the funnest and it involved The Pope!
Heard the Pope's retiring?
It's no big deal, he's just pulling out early like all good Catholics.
Next week then it's a BIG £275 rollover. Nice.
