Rollover Hits £150 as Goatsie Quitongo Claim the Champagne

25/1/2013

Picture
Well done to 2-in-a-row Quiz Winners Goatsie Quitongo. Last week they were called Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls. This week they are Goatsie Quitongo - it makes you wonder what they will call themselves next week when they try to win 3-in-a-row?

Here's how it finished...

A big thanks to the young team here The 4 J's who didn't quite seem to grasp the fact it is a £150 rollover next week...

See you next time for the BIG MONEY.

Sex, Drugs, Sausage Rolls and Sparkly Wine!

18/1/2013

Picture
A quieter night at Den than we are used to.
There was no furniture broken. No fatalities. No confirmed pregnancies.

There was a winner of course. Here they are with their sparkly wine looking like total Champions. Winners.

The age old wisdom "be careful what tattoo you get" is demonstrated here by Barman Pete with his new biro tattoo of a wee boab. Suits him doesn't it?

There were a good few Tesco horse burger jokes, so I've put a few of these in my weekly email. If you don't mind chowing down on a pony, then it's £125 next week - which is more than a pony!

Here are the Widden Pallets with another beautiful poster to advertise next week's Horse Burger BBQ...

Picture
Another Den rollover - they don't call him The Beast for nothing. And when I say "they" I do, of course, mean the police investigating Operation Yewtree.

See you next time

Morgan Freeman wins 'Oscar' for Best Team!

11/1/2013

Picture
It was a close fought fight that came down to a single point separating the fresh faced Hollywood inspired Den regulars Morgan Freeman and old timers Louise and Chris whose Stube Quiz memories live long. In the end though it was the new generation that grabbed the oscar for best team. They even got the grappa too!
Picture
Here's how it finished...
Morgan Freeman  Winners
The OA's
Les Bears Dennis  Funnest Team
The Wee Malkies
Widden Pallets
Jammie Dodgers
Clackerbags
Rocket in Your Sauce
Sexy Stu's Beeyatches  Applause

Next week it's a £100 rollover - a BIG thanks to the beautiful ladies of the Widden Pallets here for making and modelling another top quality poster.

Picture
These guys were the funnest team and they achieved this honour with a limerick. Classy. Here it is...

There once was a man from China,
Who wasn't a very good climber,
He slipped on a rock,
It cut off his cock,
Now he has a vagina!

Everyone thought this was the funniest thing they ever heard, so well done to Les "Bears" Dennis for their shining wits.

Until next time - when it's a £100 big one.

A Winning Start to 2013 for The Dragons of The Den!

4/1/2013

Picture
A surprisingly busy night in The Den where the New Year's Resolution seems to be to get right back on it. Quality.
Here's how it ended the night in Den...

The Dragons of The Den  Winners
Baby Brains
Two Tonics  Funnest Team
I wish this Microphone was a Penis
Santa's Bulging Sack
Bar Team
Jammy Dodgers
3 Amigos
SSS   Applause
Team Hood

Drew here was the Funnest Guy at the quiz - and that was before he changed his mind in the face of The Beast to miss out on £50 against his team mates wishes. Ouch. Awkward!
Picture
This week's poster was made by the Dragons of The Den - and it was such a cracker Barman Pete couldn't believe the quality of the artistry involved. He was hypnotised by it's incredibleness. Stare into his eyes and you will see what I mean...
Picture
Next week then it's a £75 situation, which is rather decent.

Chin chin!
