Previously at the quiz regular team Goatsie Quitongo had won £50 in cold hard cash and been the funnest guys in the room, but this week they did the big one and laid claim to their first ever quiz win.

A few folk had a go at the cards and a Christopher 'lost a fight with the pavement' McKenna even managed three keep-ups before John from Prof Dirty got beat by The Beast. 

All this means we are on for a RECORD Den Cash Jackpot of £125 next time, when Quizguy Martin comes in to quiz your face off...

It was the perfect Champion's Quiz warm-up for The OA's as they eased to a convincing quiz win in The Den.

Tonight's winners threatened to kill us all and level the pub. A friendly bunch The Den's Reckoning. Luckily they were only 'joking' the main point of difference being that their 'jokes' seem to lack the element of being amusing that is usually is so important to the construction of a joke.

Thankfully they won a meal for 2, so there was some karma. Is it going too far to hope for food poisoning? Yes. I thought so. My apologies.

He must be the only bike rider in London not knocked down by an Olympics bus. Controversial.

Wiggo's Warriors won the quiz tonight, but the big talking point was one team's use of outside resources to give them a competitive edge.

Was it Cheating? Was it allowed? Is it against the rules? These are the questions we dealt with. And the offending device - it wasn't a mobile phone, it wasn't even a newspaper. 

Jedworth Swingers pictured here had brought their trusty magnifying glass. By all means bring yours too next week, as my judgement is that it is not cheating to use a non-internet enabled magnifying device.
