£19 Jackpot - enough to buy 6 plates of street food!

26/2/2013

False Advertising: It's not a £60 Rollover!
A bustling night in Dukes as the new Street Food menu got it's quiz debut to stunning effect. Everyone was eating - except for me. I didn't even get offered a Jammy Dodger. Damn you world.
And speaking of the iconic biscuit, it was Jammy Dodgers that inspired the winners - former recipients of my biscuit prize they had bragging rights as they have claimed a prize at just about every Dukes quiz they've been to. Shocking.

Here's how it ended...

Cash Winners - Again!
A night of unusual scoring as 4 teams were tied for first place going into the final round. In the end it was the gamblers who paid the price as The Jammy Team left two answers blank to beat their competition into 2nd place. How Jammy!
Handsfree Lightsabres put in a good show as they were just one point off 2nd place. Awkward. Their main source of amusement came from a similarly they noticed between one of the quizzers and a character in a classic 90's film. Names have been changed to protect identities.

Next week it's a £19 situation as big man Stuart claimed the cash. As you can see though, that's enough to buy about 6 plates of food from the new street food specials, so it's a pretty decent effort.

Another interesting point to note was the attendance of former quiz host Mr Paul. What a legend.

Until next time - Chowmein!

We enjoyed the format as much as we enjoyed your comedic commentary.
