Les Quizerables avoided the round of applause. I promised them a place on the winners podium next week, but we'll have to see if they can make it up the stairs first!

Best thing to do if you want to ignore rolling news coverage of The Boston Marathon bombing is to have a drink and win the pub quiz - that's what Jammy Strikes back here did.

Second placed team Non-Thatcher Related Comment had no political contribution to make. They were delighted to win a Guinness hat so they could start their prep for St Paddys day the full recommended 11 months in advance.

Les Quizerables were the funnest team for the second time in recent weeks, however, it should be noted that this Les Quizerables team is entirely unrelated to the Les Quizerables team who won the other week. This confused me greatly.

Thankfully the poster here makes it perfectly obvious it's a £50 rollover so everyone will know what to expect. Phew. What a relief!

Dukes Bar bank holiday riot as usual, with standing room only for the assembled throng. The lucky few had turned up early to get a seat.

Despite the competition, Barman Colin was the one to beat with some serious high scores including a full marks music round. What a legend. He's the one to beat next week.

Also to beat next week is this week's winners Kojak Columbo. Is this Denniston? Scored better than usual, and Hi, my name's James and it's my round did so badly we may not see them for another couple of years. #Awkward.
