Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers Win!

19/6/2013

Picture
Great Balls for Hire here led for much of the quiz but didn't gamble in the final round to finish up 2nd place! Nick (on the right) was celebrating his birthday, so when he came to face The Beast we sang him Happy Birthday. He was only a little embarrassed.

When I asked teams to use their vote tonight these kittens were the only ones who wanted my specially commissioned Refugee Week questions, so we can only assume their rival teams are Jim Davidson loving UKIP voters...
Picture
Eventual winners by a single point were The Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers here. This is them pictured before they grabbed two bottles of sparkly and got given two fingers by The Beast. If you want to try and beat them they are at my Champions Quiz on Saturday. Jus sayin.
Picture
Unfortunately this team never handed in their Fun Round slip, which is a shame because it had a drawing of a Lego Ed Sheeran on it inspired by these ladies...
Picture
Funnest Team 3 is The Magic Number, who are not fans of Ed Sheeran it seems. It's not every team that shouts out after an Ed Sheeran question that he's a twat! My top tip is don't get on the wrong side of these ladies!
Picture
The Bum Bums here had their first ever Bungo quiz tonight and enjoyed themselves SO MUCH that they said they will be back next week. So if they aren't back next week and you see them in the street, please shout "Fuckin Liars" at them from me.
Picture
Somewhere in the darkness here cash winners Evel Rory who can now splash out on another two canapés at their wedding after this big cash win!

Next week then it's back to about £50 - here's the poster...

Until then

More Drama Than Corrie...

12/6/2013

Picture
Early leaders in the Bungo Quiz tonight were the Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers here. How did they spend their £350 winnings from last week? The traditional Glasgow way. Yes, they are now the proud owners of a state of the art deep fat fryer!
Picture
Great Balls for Hire grabbed the bonus points to take a five point lead - surely no-one could catch them with two rounds to go?!
Picture
If anyone wasn't catching them it was Latin inspired Nemo Me Impune Lacessit. Apparently the inscription on the gate at Edinburgh Castle. I believe it was also the motto of former Glasgow nightclub The Shack too...

They won the Fun Round with this drawing of me being knighted by a giant cock.
Picture
"Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" indeed.
Picture
Once Excessive Consumption had remembered their team name, they were in the driving seat and a fine final round gamble left them as surprise winners by a single point. More drama than a sex offender filled episode of Corrie I can assure you.

And there's a rollover. Happy Days!

Mightily Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers!

4/6/2013

Picture
The Chancers here won the quiz last week, but they couldn't make it two weeks in a row. Disaster!
Picture
No Tramp & The Ladies had an early lead, but even foul mouth Frances couldn't craft them a win!
Picture
Evel Rory faced the £325+ cash question & with a wedding to pay for it was all to play for, but they didn't get the cash. Is the wedding cancelled?!
Picture
Moira Stuart Appreciation Society were back in town. Rumour has it they hate Nicholas Witchell more than Prince Charles as they only have eyes for Moira...
Picture
Left in the Lurch came joint 1st, but Facebook loving Liz here on the right lost out in the tiebreak. Like!
Picture
Ivana Vinalot here said on their feedback they wanted "more general knowledge" in the quiz next week. I can only assume by that they mean "more general knowledge we know the answers to."
Picture
Here's The Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers. And tonight they were mightily mighty as they took all £325 and that will buy them a lot of flowers!
Picture
Jon Bon Suzi were gutted their poster would now be useless false advertising. But they needn't be concerned, as a bit of false advertising never hurt anyone. Apart from Tulisa selling those 'sweeties' maybe...
Picture
In case you can't imagine what £325 and Smug look like.

Back to £50-ish next week then.
Fuck off til then please.

Love

Sir James
