May's Quiz Team of The Month have been bringing some tasty bakery items to the quiz - but not flapjacks for safety reasons. Here is their official response to the news they are quizteam of the month...
Inspired by the philosophical works of Coolio, Socrates and ‘The Go and Stu Experience’. We have had an identity crisis since the infancy of our team, but we are best remembered for ‘Flapjacks’. 

We are honoured to win the Quizteam of the Month accolade.
Our winner’s certificates have been proudly uploaded to our professional portfolios.

We are sad not to have won the cash prize at this magnificent quiz yet, but are just waiting for a suitable jackpot (or as Charlotte put it - “give us the cash baldy!”)

Congratulations to Team Jammy who are Quizteam of the Month for April 2013!

...their impressive win-ratio continues to amaze.
It's also amazing to consider what they regard as a win!

The team name Jammy implies that they believe there is an element of luck behind their victories, but given the frequency of their triumphs, surely they are just good at the quiz?! We'll see in May I suppose...

That was back in 2012 though, back when Margaret Thatcher was alive and Rolf Harris had a clean disclosure form. Now the Wee Malkies have established themselves as regulars themselves and chalked up a few more victories silencing their critics.

A big congratulations to my January 2013 Quizteams of The Month Michael Barrymore's Swimteam and The Number of The Beast. Despite the weather, the threat of dryathlon and the freezing cold they both managed some incredibly hardcore antics making it along to a good few January quizzers as Champions.

This month for the first time I have had to pick TWO Quizteams of the Month, and for two totally different reasons...

One Quizteam went the whole hog by doing the Quad and winning EVERYTHING. The other quizteam has saved me a fortune in poster design costs by creating 3 posters this month. Both of them providing outstanding contributions to Quizstory.

Honeymonsters went on a terrifying reign of terror in October 2012.
They are widely regarded as the most booed quiz team, and this week was no different.
Not only did they manage to win 3 quizzes in a row - but they snatched the cash from Bungo making them very unpopular with the regulars there.

It is not the amazing results they achieved that gets them this accolade.
Far from it. It is the extraordinary effort The Honeymonsters demonstrated in coming to 8 quizzes in 2 weeks that gets them October Quiz Team of The Month.

On 12 September 2012 The Bottle Merchants stepped off a plane after 48hrs without sleep and headed straight to the pub quiz. That night they somehow managed to win the pub quiz. Two weeks later they were back with a full night's sleep and they won £175 and the booze.

Why are they my Quizteam of the Month?  Any team hardcore enough to step straight from the plane to the pub is more than worthy of the accolade. Remember: The holiday is only over once you've stopped boozing!
